Avenue 55 gets permit for project in Ballard

On the former Ness Cranes property in Ballard, at 1125 N.W. 53rd St., Avenue 55 is preparing to build what it calls West Woodland Business Center. Avenue 55 and partner Columbia Pacific Advisors acquired the irregular, 45,000-square-foot site last year for $6 million from the Ness family, not Ness Cranes, which was sold to Campbell Crane in 2005 and is now based in Bothell and Portland.
