Joe Blattner
President / Founder

Joe is the Founder and President of Avenue 55. With a background in construction, Joe has been investing in and developing commercial and multi-family real estate for over two decades. His development resume includes more than 20 million square feet of industrial, retail, office and multifamily projects.

Prior to forming Avenue 55, Joe served as the Founder, President and Managing Partner of Tarragon, a real estate development company located in the Puget Sound area. Joe’s creativity, experience and determination were critical to many successful and diverse projects over the past 20 years including Valley South Corporate Park, Kent Station, Centralia North Corporate Park and Lakeland Town Center.

Joe earned his degree in Construction Management from Washington State University, where he currently serves on the Real Estate Advisory Board and the Westside Development Council. He served as the 2009 President of the Washington State Chapter of NAIOP, and is a current member and past chair of the NAIOP National Private Developers II Forum. Joe also serves on the NAIOP National Board. He is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and is a supporter of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), the Downtown Seattle Association and the Seattle Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the 101 Club at the Washington Athletic Club and currently serves on the Northwest Forum Board. Additionally, Joe is a long-time friend and advocate for the Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Drew Zaborowski
Development Manager

Drew joined Avenue 55 in 2013 where he oversees and manages new and existing industrial and office projects. Drew is responsible for various aspects of development including design, construction, leasing and property management. He works closely with architects, construction managers and local municipalities to ensure all projects meet Avenue 55’s standards. Prior to Avenue 55, Drew was a Project Engineer for a local General Contractor specializing in urban tenant improvements.

Drew earned his degree in Construction Management from Washington State University.  He is an active member of Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Washington State chapter of NAIOP. In addition, Drew volunteers as a board member for the King County Chapter of the Cougar Athletic Fund.

Emily Welch
Development Associate

Emily joined Avenue 55 in 2015 where she handles industrial, office and mixed-use projects.  Emily began her career at Bentall Kennedy in 2010 as Lead Analyst sourcing and underwriting development, acquisition, and disposition opportunities in the Western United States including $400 million in multi-family properties, $530 million in commercial office, $320 million in industrial, and $460 million in retail properties.

Emily earned her degree in Accounting from Washington State University where she is an active alumni member of Kappa Alpha Theta.  She is also an active member of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW), Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Washington State chapter of NAIOP.  In addition, Emily is an advocate and volunteer at S.A.F.E (Save A Forgotten Equine).
